Congratulations to Dr. A.N. Sreeram, Senior Vice President for R&D and Chief Technology Officer at Dow Chemical. He is the 2020 recipient of the Henry F. Whalen, Jr. Award, presented by the ACS Division of Business Development and Management. The award recognizes outstanding contributions to the development and management of business within the chemical enterprise.

At Dow, Dr. Sreeram led the adoption of high-throughput experimentation for the discovery of new molecules in a variety of businesses, from electronics to paints and coatings.  His work helped to accelerate the R&D process and lower costs for the company. 

ACS past President Diane Grob Schmidt, ACS Executive Director Tom Connelly, Dow’s Mark Jones and BMGT chair Matt Grandbois honored Dr. Sreeram’s contributions at a virtual awards ceremony hosted by BMGT on April 12th, 2021.
